David French
Managing Director and Senior Financial Advisor
David French is Managing Director and Senior Financial Advisor with Capricorn Investment Partners Limited.
David holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Diploma in Management. He has undertaken further study in accounting and financial planning courses with the Securities Institute of Australia (now Finsia). He was selected to attend two overseas courses on investment valuation hosted by prestigious international business school INSEAD.
David has over 12 years experience in financial markets and was responsible for building Capricorn Investment Partners from the ground up. His daily contact with major players in Australian investment markets means his knowledge is continually updated.
Before joining Capricorn Investment Partners Limited, David was a Senior Stockmarket Analyst with a well-known broking firm, servicing retail and institutional clients. Other professional experience includes two years as an Analyst with Portfolio Partners Limited (now Aviva Investors) and prior to that, two years with Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS).
He has also worked as an analyst at the Prices Surveillance Authority (now part of the ACCC) and as an economist in management consulting.
David's extensive knowledge of financial markets enables him to design investment solutions specifically tailored for you. Clients independently rated David within the top four analysts in Australia for some of his investment work.
After 18 years away from Rockhampton, David moved back from Melbourne in July 1999. Since his return, David has been heavily involved with community development projects through his involvement with the joint application for BITS funding made by the Rockhampton City Council and Central Queensland University.
He has lectured in economics and investment at CQUniversity, and has completed a study for RDPDA to assist in attracting a Call Centre to Rockhampton. He is a Director of Rockhampton Regional Development Limited and is the Treasurer of the Home Support Association.
David is an experienced investor in his own right. He is married with three young sons.
Bob Stewart
Senior Investment Adviser (Equities Dealing)
Bob Stewart is Senior Investment Adviser (Equities Dealing) with Capricorn Investment Partners Limited.
Bob is qualified and accredited through the Securities and Derivatives Industry Association.
Bob's knowledge of the financial markets was developed through a career spanning 36 years in the securities industry working as a Stock Broker, Securities Dealer, Branch Manager and Client Adviser for several brokerages including C. J. Edwards & Co., Lance Jones Limited and Credit Suisse First Boston Australian Equities Private Limited.
Bob's experience is based mainly on Equities and Fixed Interest. He has developed an extensive product knowledge and is able to offer practical advice on the planning and management of investment portfolios tailored specifically for the client.
Bob's other interests are in farming and in keeping contact with fellow members of 5 Course NST 10(GR) Sqdn.RAAF.
Justin Baiocchi is Regional Manager - Tamworth with Capricorn Investment Partners Limited.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) and a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning). Justin has also been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is also currently studying a research Masters degree through the University of Southern Queensland, focusing on the performance of the Australian self-managed superannuation sector during the GFC.
Since joining CIPL in 2007 he has focused on investment research and analysis, along with the construction and on-going management of client portfolios. In addition to his financial background and experience, Justin also has extensive consulting and management experience in the Information Technology sector. His previous employers include Credit Union Australia, Rio Tinto, Nomura Investment Bank and the CSIRO.
Justin's interests include camping and fishing. He is a keen golfer and runner. He has also travelled widely and at last count had visited over thirty different countries.
Sue Dunne is a Financial Planner with Capricorn Investment Partners Limited.
Sue holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and has undertaken further study in financial and technical analysis and superannuation.
Sue has been involved in running a small business for over 25 years, as well as having extensive experience in secretarial and administrative roles.
After selling the business, Sue undertook the study necessary to enter the Financial Planning field and joined Capricorn Investment Partners Limited in June 2007.
For most of her life, Sue has lived and worked in a rural environment. She grew up on a beef cattle property in the Taroom district and after some years of travel and work in the city, she moved to Central Queensland.
Sue and her husband operated a grain and cattle property at Duaringa for over 20 years before relocating to the Alton Downs area with their adult daughter and son.
Some favourite leisure activities are spending time with family and friends, travel, reading and music.
Lachlan McKenzie-McHarg
Advisor Equities Dealings and Research
Lachlan has had experience in Trading in Futures, CFD's, FOREX, International shares, Australian shares and margin lending and has a background in technical analysis.
Lachlan is a keen AFL player and also involved in athletics and tennis. He enjoys live music, film and has travelling extensively through Brazil, India, Portugal, United States.
Lachlan's background most notably was as Head of technical research at InvestorWeb and he has also worked in fixed interest, communications and managed funds at Computershare.
Jason Fagg is a Personal Risk Advisor with Capricorn Investment Partners Limited.
Working in the banking industry now for 11 years, 2 years with Capricorn Investment Partners Limited. He has worked with companies including The Rock, NAB, Professional Investment Services and AMP. Whilst working with NAB and AMP he started to specialise in Risk Insurance products, he has been selling Risk products including Life Insurance and income protection for the past 5 years.
Interests include family (wife Tia, Sons Hayden and Riley and daughter Caitlin), Golf, Fishing and a collector of Bundaberg Rum, he does plenty of volunteer work with Camp Quality Central Queensland, including being president of the fund raising committee and have attended camps as a group leader.
Sallyanne has a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Sallyanne has over 20 years' experience in the financial markets industry.
Most recently she was an Asset Consultant for Morningstar Research and a Senior Research Analyst for IWL. Prior to this she was a Fixed Interest Portfolio Manager at ING investment management for over 5 years. There she managed both domestic and international bond portfolios and was also a member of the Asset Allocation Committee. She has also held roles a Treasury Manager for various large corporates, managing both interest rate and currency exposures for companies including Optus, Burns Philp and Energy Australia.
