Michael Cranny is Chairman of Capricorn Investment Partners Limited and Chairman and Managing Director of Tropical Pines, a large scale pineapple producer and marketer. Mick is also a land developer, and has held a number of board positions including Yeppoon District Co-operative, and Freshmark. He has been an advisor to Golden Circle and is involved in a large number of church and community related voluntary activities. Mick is a past Councillor of the Livingstone Shire Council and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rockhampton Regional Development Limited.

David French

David French is Managing Director and Head of Financial Planning. Starting with just himself and a desk, David was responsible for building The Rock Investment Planning from scratch. This entity was subsequently purchased and became Capricorn Investment Partners Limited. David has worked in finance and economics since 1990, and in investment markets since 1994. David was rated as high as number 3 in Australia as an investment analyst, holds a Bachelor of Economics, a Diploma in Corporate Management and is PS146 compliant. David has also completed a range of other courses relating to valuation of companies and investments. David deals with all financial planning, investing and superannuation matters for new and existing clients.

Mark Hayes

Mark Hayes has run his own private accounting business since 1991. He has special interests in self managed superannuation and other investment structures and is a substantial investor in property and businesses in his own right. These businesses have included a hairdressing salon and a clothing store. Mark has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and has a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning.

Ray Griffin

Ray Griffin is one of Australia’s leading financial planning commentators and is a past Chairman of the National Board of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.  He is a past winner of the Australian Financial Planner of the Year Award as conducted by Money Management magazine and in 2003 he served as Chairman of the International Council of Certified Financial Planners (CFP) an 18 country organisation headquartered in the United States.  He was the first non-American to hold that position. Ray holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration degree along with the Diploma of Financial Planning.  He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Program. Since 2004 he has authored a monthly column for Money Management titled The Idealist.  Ray joined CIPL in 2009 as a Director and shareholder when the company acquired Griffin Financial Services Pty Ltd.
